I know all I post about anymore is Parker and I apologize if anyone is getting bored of her, but she consumes my life, hence I only post about her! I CANNOT BELIEVE she is already a month old! Where did the time go??? It has gone so fast and before she was born I already dreaded that she would just never stop growing and now it is a reality. Before I know it she will be two months old! What am I gonna do?
Her 4 week old picture (well, one of them)
Her 4 week old picture (well, one of them)She wasn't too happy but she still looks pretty cute even when she's crying.
I just had to post this picture. Kory took it while he was holding her. Her little mouth just cracks me up! She's just so dang cute!I also need to thank everyone who has shown Kory and I such support during these last few months. I am so blessed to have such wonderful parents who have spent a countless amount of money, time, and effort on Parker and I. I have wonderful siblings who are so great with Parker and such great babysitters.
Thanks to Kory's parents and siblings and grandparents, they too have given so much to us as well. They are so supportive of us and they show Parker sooo much love!
Thanks to all of mine and Kory's friends who have invited us to hang out and take a break.
And a special thanks to all of the people I work with at Sports Academy. Thanks for all the showers, gifts, phone calls, etc. Thanks Dan for being so casual about me being gone. Thanks sooo much to Kelly who is taking over ALL the responsibility while I am gone, you are wonderwoman!
I cannot believe how fast my little girl is growing! On the 14th, she had her two week appointment. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and she measured at 20 1/2 inches. I took this picture at exactly two weeks old (on the 13th). Don't you just love her big eyes?
Last night we finally decided to be brave and give her a bath in the tub. At first she peed in the towel, I learned to keep her diaper on until the last minute. She enjoyed it a little at first but then started crying.
When we wrapped her in the towel after the bath, she started sucking her thumb.
This is one of my most favorite pictures of her face.
She sure hates her bathtime. So far we've only done full body wipedowns with a washcloth, she screams the whole time. I can't wait to see how she reacts to a real bath!
She finally made it here! I guess I shouldn't really say finally because I was expecting her to come on January 5th. My water broke at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday December 30. I definitely am not a fan of water breaking! It sent me into the BIGGEST panic attack I've ever had! I shot right out of bed and starting freaking out! I was shaking so bad. I think it was mostly because we were not prepared- we had absolutely nothing packed for the hospital, so we had to take about an hour before we went to the hospital before to do that. I bawled all the way to the hospital and kept telling Kory, "I'm not ready..."
She finally came at 4:57 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. (smaller than I thought) and was 20 inches long.
Sleeping peacefully at one day old.
Proud papa. I feel bad for Kory, it was a stressful day for him but he hid it pretty well.
Please try not to be jealous of my beautiful hair and hospital gown that makes me look 250 pounds.
Her grandmas love her veeeerrrry much!
These last two pictures were taken at 5 days old. I can't believe she is already 5 days old! I know it hasn't been very long but I'm a little sad that much time has already passed. It is hard for me to even remember how my life was before she was born- it is a complete night and day difference. I never knew I could love one person so much. Sometimes I just look at her and cry. She is the best thing I've ever done.
