Do I ever blog about anything else???

The only thing I ever blog about is Parker... not because I feel like I always need to brag about her, but she is so much more interesting than Kory or I, and pictures of her are DEFINITELY more interesting than any of Kory or I!!!

Lately she is just so SUPER busy! Crawling everywhere, opening cupboards and drawers, pulling stuff out, taking everything off her shelves, picking things up off the floor.... She makes me tired. Thank goodness she can't walk yet!

Last weekend Parker, me, my mom and sisters did our annual Salt Lake City shopping trip. We stayed over at a hotel and had a shopping frenzy the next day. This is Parker trying on a hat at Target.

Having a bath...

Having a morning bottle...

Laying in bed with Carlie...

Getting dressed...

She rode the carousel at the South Town mall. She looks only slightly amused in these pictures, but she really did like it once it got going.

She loved DSW... there were mirrors everywhere!!!

PARKER a.k.a. THE FOOD JUNKIE

I know that most babies love food, but this little girl loves it like CRAZY! I mean REALLY CRAZY!!! Every time she sees food, sees me or Kory eating food, or sees anyone else at all eating food she starts to go into this frenzy and she starts licking her lips and says, "Nuh Nuh" which I think means yum, yum. She will eat absolutely anything and everything, it doesn't matter to her, she loves it all. It's like she's addicted so I have nicknamed her "The Food Junkie." I could probably feed her garbage and she would love it. Earlier I gave her a taste of guacamole and, yep, she loved it. Anyway, I always promised myself that I wouldn't give her any candy until her she was older, but of course I have broken that promise (I try not to give her very much though). You can call me a bad mom if you want and I probably am, but one her favorite things is licorice. I think she loves it so much because she can hold it and just sit and suck on it and it lasts a long time. I have given it to her twice and both times she acted like it was complete bliss. It is also the messiest thing EVER but of course that doesn't bother her.
So happy!

This video shows just how happy she is when she is eating licorice! (It starts out really dark but gets lighter after a moment.)

Twilight Night!!!

Last Friday night I went with my mom, sisters and Robyn to opening night of "New Moon". We made team t-shirts, mostly just to be silly (normally I would never really do something like that). The lines were crazy, but my trusty little sister went and saved us a spot as early as she could and we were almost at the font of the line.

Us sporting the t-shirts. If you can't read them, from left to right they are:
Team Edward, Team Edward, Team Undecided, Team Edward, Team Jacob

Yes, I am on team Jacob. And not just because of the movies. I decided when I first read "New Moon" that I was on team Jacob. I have my reasons.

Carlie and Molly.

Whose team are You on???

A little Pooh...

Of course Parker was Winnie the Pooh for Halloween, because I love Pooh Bear! And I love Parker as Pooh Bear even more! Isn't she cute?

We carved pumpkins last Thursday and we got Parker in her diaper and let her play in the pumpkin guts. At first she was a little unsure but then she really got into it and was flinging the stuff everywhere, all over the walls, floor and my clothes!

I love her pointy little toes!

We took her to the pumpkin walk and it was fun, but she didn't really care about the displays too much. This is her as Max from "Where the Wild Things Are".

Also, Parker just turned 10 months and still can't quite crawl yet, so she is a little slow in that area, however, I think she might be an early talker. If you say a word or sound to her enough times, she will try to imitate it and she does a pretty good job! There are a couple of words that she can say that she doesn't understand the meaning of: dada, mama, what, and she can sort of say backpack (it's a song from Dora the Explorer). There is one word she can say that I know she knows the meaning of: uh-oh.

Nine months old........I'm sad....

Last week Parker Lynn turned 9 months old! I can hardly believe it. It just seems like the other day she was so tiny... I was looking through pictures of her when she was just born and I cried a little...

Just how did she go from this....

to this so quickly???

She got four shots at her 9 month appointment and she has to go back in a month and get two more! (One for swine flu and the other is the 2nd half of a regular flu shot.)
These are her 9 month stats:
weight: 18.1 lbs. ~ 46th percentile
height: 28 inches ~ 76th percentile
She still has no teeth!
She still is not crawling, although she scoots backwards pretty well!
Although I am sad at how fast she has grown, I cannot even express how fun this little girl is lately! She makes me laugh on a daily basis and has such a fun personality. She says da da and ma ma and she can imitate coughing and clapping, amongst other things. I can tell that when she looks at things, she is learning. She is so social- she loves to be around kids and babies. She LOVES animals, but most of them don't like her because of her bone-crushing grip.

Poor baby legs!

Two weeks ago, Kory's little sister Chelsey got married. Her colors were black and teal, so Grandma Cyndi bought Parker this cute little black dress. She was so fancy!

WE HEART SUMMER!!!

Reasons why we love summer:

1) Because you can lounge around outside...

2. Because you can go for walks in the stroller (unless you're too big, then you have to push the stroller)...

3) Because you can wear cute summer clothes...

4) Because you can go to the pool!!!

5) Because you can go to the fair (and even though Parker looks like she didn't care too much about the fair in some of these pictures, she really did like it)...

6) And best of all, because you can be lazy...
