HE MADE IT!!!

I have good news! On approximately 10 p.m. Friday night Utah time/Saturday morning 10 a.m. Nepal time, my dad made it to the summit of Mt. Everest!

I don't have a picture of him on the summit yet, but when I get one I will post it. If you are interested in reading about the details, check out my mom's blog that she has been doing about his journey here: THE SEVENTH SUMMIT.

He is still currently on the mountain, they are making their way down to base camp and they still have to go back through the icefall, but I have no doubts that everything will be okay. The following is actually a picture of my dad in the icefall, he is the one in the red gloves.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
I just couldn't resist doing a mother's day post, I mean, look at her cute shirt! Isn't it the cutest?
I just have to say something about being a mom- it is the most noble thing a woman could ever do. It is the greatest thing I've ever been able to do and it is hands down the biggest blessing of my life. Every day I wake up and I am so happy that I get to be with my little girl. I have just a few quotes about being a mother that I love:
All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother. ~Abraham Lincoln
It's not easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it. ~From the television show The Golden Girls
The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. ~Rajneesh

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and mother-in-law! I appreciate everything you do for me! Thanks for all the help you have given me with Parker and thanks for the unconditional love that you show her!
